K-mart or Wal-mart (not sure)

I think that the lady that was on the line on black friday isnt such a smart lady , shes pregnant, almost done with the birth of her child and she goes shopping on a day where everyone goes crazy and does whatever they need in order to get the item(s) they came in looking for. A man got killed for crying out loud, thats another thing, if these employees knew what time the doors were opening, why didnt they have a plan on how to avoid the situation that happened. Seriously, a chain wall of about 8 people against hundreds of crazy new yorkers trying to save money for once in their lives. On a day were Jews do most of their shopping, this is just ridiculous in my opinion.

Thanksgiving

I find that thanksgiving is somewhat meaningful in my life because I do give thanks for everything God has given me and blessed me with but then again, I dont see much to it. I believe I'm only saying this because this Thanksgiving wasnt anywhere near as good as previous ones but I just sort of lost interest in Thanksgiving , the only thing that has me excited every year is , obviously, the food , just the thought of it . Thanksgiving can be meaningful if you are with the right people or around those who all love each other.

LDH2B Meaningless - Pop Culture Analysis Project - Pt 1

1. What is the song basically saying about how to live a good life? Paraphrase the main idea.
The "Lip Gloss" song is basically that its not the lip gloss that made her cool, its the confidence, she thinks its the lip gloss but it isnt and thinking that it would make her feel better, she did.
2. What lyrics particularly speak to that perspective? Use quotes as evidence.
"is that my lip gloss is poppin, my lip gloss is cool, all the boys keep jockin, and chase me after school"
3. How do the video images support, re-orient, or challenge the dominant theme of the lyrics? Analyze. Because as you are watching the video, as soon as Lil Mama puts on the lip gloss, and the boys want her and chasing her and everyone wants some of that lip gloss
4. What else do you notice that's interesting? Look for internal contradictions, aspects of the message that resonate with other messages from the pop culture, points that connect to your own perspective, etc. Analyze squared.
that at the end of the video her mother or whoever it was that picked her up from school, tells her it wasnt the lip gloss but it was rather her confidence and then she realizes it.

The Election

My opinion on this election is that Barack Obama should have won the election by alot more but it suprised me because he got the youth's vote but he ONLY won 52% to 46% . Yea, there were plenty of people who voted for him JUST because he is black, but he was clearly the more intellectual and sophisticated candidate for President. John McCain is a 72 year old man who is bound to die any second now. The only good thing he had going for him is that hes a Virgo just like i am and his birthday is a day after mine, if only America knew, he could have been our next President....but it just did not turn out that way for him . He is another version of George Bush , the same guy who has turned our country and the economy into what it is now, a complete mess. Imagine 4, possibly 8 years of that. I wouldnt want to. Now I imagine what Andy mentioned in class about the election saying that "if Obama's mom was a drug-addict and he didnt go from poor to rich, would this election have been different?" I think it would have, I think the voters would prejudge Barack and all his success in Harvord and in life, and base their vote on his skin color and what most people see when they prejudge black people . In the end, I think our country is better off with Barack Obama as President, but hey- let the time pass and we will all find out.

In this video i have included Andy bringing my self-esteem down, also me and the much hated bear, me and stephanie working on our projects in the computer lab, me walking down the hallways, and then pictures of important people in my life. I think the fact that i did my video in school i find school a meaningful aspect of my life, and also my friends and family. Well i would have liked to included a more well-round movie, of what i do in my spare time like playing sports , video games, and other activities i like to do with my friends.

Guiding Questions
i just went by what i believed should have been included in my video not neccesarily how i actually go about my way of life. Well school, i find really meaningful like i said earlier and also family and friends. I dont think i can honestly say this is how my life is, as it seems too boring, i hope at least that my life is more exciting and interesting that what i have showed in my video. My life i think is really interesting from an outside perspective because im studying, im working, im trying to keep up with everything, and honestly, i think im doing a good job at it, so i wish i could have caught all of that in my video. Is there a certain way of living in order for you to have a meaningful life?
