break hw
Please pay attention to your emotions over this break. At what points do you feel emotionally healthiest? Least healthy? What's going on that affects your emotional health? What actions can you take to support your own emotional well-being?
Is emotionally healthy the same thing as "constantly happy"? If not, what is it, to you?
How do the theories of the therapies we researched connect to your ideas about emotional health?
Over the break my most emotionally healthy moments were the times I either spent with my Yazmin, my nephews, & my friends. Out of all I think Yazmin brang the most emotionally healthy moments, but also the unhealthy came with it. The arguements begin to catch up with you after a while so it's been a little frustrating in many ways. I also think that making my money over thsi break put that McDonald's smile on my face. And as much as I hate to admit it, spending most of it wasnt that cruel to this fragile heart of mine. I think that in order for me to always stay on my emotionally healthy shit I got to stop stressing shit and find a way to not get mad at Yazmin even when she's on her annoying stage.
My mom hit me with some good news last night as she told me she was going to the casino, I thought to myself, "oh great she's coming home...no wait i mean SHE'S NOT COMING HOME with the money she left with." Instead I was just shocked as I received a phone call from my mother with her screaming at the top of her lungs that she had just won $10,000 and I wont lie, I was happy, but what made my day was when she told me she was giving me $400.
I think that being emotionally healthy IS the same thing as being constantly happy because in order for you to be constantly happy because if you arent constantly happy you either arent emotionally healthy or you are neutral, neither healthy or unhealthy.

humanistic psychology
When I read the article on Humanistic psychology I found it interesting, because I feel that its the correct way to approact someone in therapy or just about in any situation. In humanistic psychology the approach is to focus on two aspects, psychoanalysis, and behaviorism. "Psychoanalysis was focused on understanding the unconscious motivations that drove behavior while behaviorism studied the conditioning processes that produced behavior. " I think this is a good path to take when trying to resolve problems, you have to study what the person who needs the help is going through to understand what is making this person act the way they are acting. I think there are many little things that can enforce someone to act a certain way, it can be something like a loved one being killed, or it can even be something as small as not having enough sugar in your morning coffee. I also think it is important for therapist to know what made the patient behave the way they did after the fact that they knew something small, or big, was affecting them. In the article it also says that humanistic psychology is now reflected around growth and self actualization so I think that the importance of getting the patient to understand their own problem in a more simplistic way before they even go to the therapist will indeed help them overcome future obstacles.

emotionally healthy vs the emotionally unhealthy
There's a 17 year old girl, deeply in love with her boyfriend. They have been together for a year and a half and they begin talking about their future and starting a family one day. The boyfriend begins to hear things about his girlfriend and begins to be very suspicious of her. At first, he does not believe one word of what is said about his girl. After a few weeks about the same thing he starts believing it. He stops treating her like he did before and he starts changing he starts abusing her. The things the boyfriend heard about his girlfriend were never really true, but now she has to live with the fact that her boyfriend does not trust her anymore. Every day that he hits her.....she makes one more cut on her arm.
So there's a regular family, not the best at bringing home the money. They are a struggling family with a lot of family chemistry. They put each other before anyone else, the son of the family plays basketball and his family attends all of his games, one day the boy gets into a car crash driving home from school. On his way to the hospital all he can think about is his family and his little brother......

What is breast cancer?
Cancer is a disease in which cells become abnormal and form more cells in an uncontrolled way. With breast cancer, the cancer begins in cells that make up the breasts—usually in the tubes that carry milk to the nipple or the glands that make milk. The cancerous cells form a mass of tissue called a tumor. Sometimes, the cancer spreads to other parts of the body.
2) What is skin cancer?
Cancer is a disease in which cells become abnormal and form more cells in an uncontrolled way. With skin cancer, the cancer begins in cells that make up the skin. The skin is the body's largest organ. It protects us against heat, light, injury, and infection. It regulates body temperature and stores water, fat, and vitamin D. With skin cancer, new cells form when the skin does not need them, and old cells do not die when they should. These extra cells form a mass of tissue called a tumor. Not all tumors are cancer. Tumors that are cancer can invade and damage nearby tissues and organs, and sometimes can spread to other parts of the body.
